Tavares Group Consulting to Speak at the AASHE 2015 Conference & Expo

Tavares Group Consulting is excited to attend the upcoming Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) 2015 Conference & Expo next week in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This year’s conference theme centres on “Transforming Sustainability Education” and will examine the role of higher education in leading sustainability on campus, within the community and beyond.

Sandra Tavares, Principal, Tavares Group Consulting Inc. will be presenting a series of case studies from post-secondary intuitions that illustrate how a systems approach can be used to implement sustainability within higher education. The presentation will illustrate the drivers of sustainability and outline a systematic process to sustainability management that can be used by organizations at all levels of sustainability integration. Founded in the Plan-Do-Scheck-Act cycle, the approach takes users through assessing and prioritizing risk to implementation and reporting of results. Attendees will learn how they can leverage, unify and align existing campus policies, programs and initiatives into an all-inclusive sustainability program.

This year’s conference is expected to attract over 2,000 attendees, including faculty members, students, administrators, non-profits, private and public sector organizations, and community members, making it an educational and networking opportunity that is not to be missed.
