Auditing

I would give a 10 out of 10. The reason for my score is Sandra Tavares. She is an excellent auditor, great at communication, and works with the Municipality on any PCARs (Preventive and Corrective Action Reports) or OFIs (Opportunities for Improvement).

Consulting

Tavares Group Consulting did an excellent job for Vaughan and have met the timelines and scope of a[n] [EMS] feasibility study within the allocated budget.

I was completely satisfied (happy) with the punctual services and commitment that was provided by Tavares Group [Consulting]. Having retained the Tavares Group for a second year to perform our Internal Audit sends a strong performance satisfaction from the Town’s personnel. Throughout the on-site audit, the Tavares Group made every effort to engage an informal environment with all the Town’s personnel during the QMS interviews.

The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, December 2016

Last month I attended the combined internal EMS and legal compliance audit…performed by Tavares Group Consulting representing the Luminous Group. I was curious how this might be attempted and whether the completeness/accuracy of the individual audits would suffer due to the combined tasks. I must say I was very impressed.  I observed a very detailed and comprehensive audit over 3 days that in my opinion covered all aspects of the EMS at [our facility] as well as a full Environmental Compliance audit.

Rick Comrie, Sr. Manager, Global Sustainability & Chemical Compliance

Cooper-Standard Automotive, June 2014

We found the Auditor quite experienced in conducting the audit, and ensured no disruptions to the day to day functioning of the plant and offices. Reporting was good after each day. Also, final report format was good.

For me, the material is very new, and not something I was familiar with, as I don't work in the SR field. I did find it very useful as a means to be introduced to the area. I did feel that I was able to contribute much to the discussion though.

Toolkit

Overall the Toolkit is a great way to take the initial step into sustainability for any business.

Masoud Negad, Vice President, Sales, Operations & Supply Chain, Tepperman’s

August 2016

The Toolkit helped us to get back on track with our sustainability goals. We now have a system in place where we can plan, track and monitor our sustainability metrics.

Graig Pettit, Manager of Finance & Regulatory Affairs, Erie Thames Powerlines

August 2016

From start to finish, the experience has been rewarding. I feel confident that the lessons learned and the documentation created will ensure that our Sprout's Children Garden program and ultimately our organization is headed toward a sustainable future. I would recommend using the Sustainability Toolkit to any organization doing an internal review of their current policies and procedures.

Linda Davies, Executive Director, London Community Resource Centre

Applying a systematic process such as the Toolkit is assisting GoodLife to realize a significant reduction in operational energy consumption, cost and GHG emissions. Moving forward, the Toolkit’s components will be valuable in identifying other metrics that are material to our operation and transform GoodLife in to a sustainably managed corporation.

Aron Griffith, Director of Club Services, GoodLife Fitness

We have found the Sustainability Tool[kit] designed by Tavares [Group] Consulting to be an incredibly simple and easy to use process. We’re excited about the results and are anxious to implement a number of initiatives to help fill the gaps that were identified. I would highly recommend the Toolkit to any organization interested in sustainability

Angela Abdallah, National Marketing Manager, Amway Canada

August 2015

The use of the Sustainability Toolkit provided a formal method to evaluate our three chosen environmental metrics. The Toolkit’s tiered approach using three levels of evaluation promotes continual improvement and allowed APOC to quantify progress in each of the assessed metrics. As a result, we now have clearly identified actionable opportunities and going forward we are better positioned to evaluate other sustainability criteria important to our stakeholders.

Hans Loeffelholz, Sr. Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, Abbott Point of Care Canada Ltd

August 2015

The Toolkit is enabling our company to apply the philosophy behind sustainability principles to what we do every day. The fact that the toolkit tangibly structures action items within a cycle of goal-setting and decision-making makes it a practical tool to apply directly to our project management systems.

Sonya D’Cunha, Director of Sustainability, KDC

The Sustainability Toolkit is helping keep things on track and avoid distraction, it is also allowing us to narrow down priorities with the confidence that we are continuing to remain in alignment with industry standards
